ENGLISH SPEAKING (or bilingual) VISION QUEST

Twelve days for Interbeing with the living world, your inner growth and initiation into the next life-circle ahead: Four days of preperation and focussing on the depth of your transition. Four days and nights alone in the wilderness, fasting and without shelter: only a sleeping bag for protection, a tarp against the elements, a sleeping mat, and sufficient drinking water for the body. **Four days of reflection, story-telling, mirroring and integration.
• Sitting on the land for four days and four nights, fasting and without shelter, invites a direct and embodied experience of interbeing with the more-than-human world. In this sustained presence, the land and the living world become active participants in the ritual – not a backdrop, but a mirror.
• Weather, animals, plants, terrain, and silence speak in their own ways, inviting deep listening and relationship. Through working with the land as a mirror, participants experience themselves not as separate individuals, but as part of a larger living web. This fosters a worldview rooted in interconnection, reciprocity, humility, and belonging within Earth’s community.

THE PLACE
The Vision Quest takes place in and around the nature reserve “Die Hölle”, a place where nature communicates intensly with the human spirit and which seems to have been an ancient area for rituals of the ancestors. In close proximity lies the seminar house Höllbachhof, near Regensburg. The surrounding landscape consists of rolling hills, meadows, and mixed forests along the Höllbach stream. An ancient hazel grove invites lingering and reflection. Rocks and boulders are scattered through the forest.
Directly behind the Höllbachhof, which serves as our base camp, the Höllbach flows through forested terrain with moss-covered rock formations. Powerful stone structures repeatedly create magical places that evoke a sense of timelessness, far removed from civilization. At the same time, traces of conventional agriculture are visible in the stream.
Hiking paths cross the protected area, connecting wilderness and civilization, which feel unusually close together at this special place. This is not a Vision Quest in pure wilderness, but at the edge of civilization, held within a strong and varied natural landscape still offering many different secluded retreat spots.
The Höllbachhof is located about 30 km east of Regensburg. The A3 motorway can be reached by car in approximately 10 minutes. Train connections run via Regensburg main station, with onward travel by bus. From there we will pick you up.
